I'm Sally, owner and founder of The Wedding Whisperer.
The Wedding Whisperer was born in 2022 post covid.
Many years ago I had a wedding and events decorating business which was never intended!
It came about by chance following my own wedding! We had a lot of 'wedding stuff' - we loaned this out to our friends. Word soon went round, before we knew it we were busy, busy..... Our stock grew rapidly, we were helping couples and families organise their weddings, parties and functions. We also worked with businesses both big and small including large cooperate events with several hundred guests.
Unfortunately in 2010 our daughter was born to soon, she had lots of complications, and hospital stays, I felt I was not able to provide the level of service I wanted, my daughter was my biggest priority, she needed me.
I worked with other local suppliers who I liked and trusted to take on my existing clients, knowing they would do a fantastic job, I notified my clients, with their blessings I passed all my bookings on.
And here I am again, albeit, I have pivoted! I still get asked if I do wedding and event decor. I don't, I was however pointing people towards great trusted suppliers.
Covid has been a very testing time, it made a lot of us soul search in ways we never imagined, for me - life is too short! I have lost family members and a very very dear friend during this time. I want to be my own boss, in charge of my own diary and timetable, spend more time with my family and friends (I missed them all so much during lock down) with my past event decorating business, combined with my experience of event planning in my day job, and the fact I love everything wedding, and wedding planning, I have found myself here.
I provide a streamlined wedding planning service for couples who are getting married. What ever stage you're at in you're wedding planning journey, from newly engaged (congratulations), to over it from multiple covid cancellations, to wanting to get married in just a few weeks time, or on the day coordination, as you've planned your wedding yourself. I would love to help.
I am based in Bridgwater, Somerset, I currently cover the South West, however willing to travel further afield on occasions.
I can help reduce the stress of wedding planning, save countless hours searching for the perfect venue and take away the frustration of sourcing the right suppliers for you - my little book of the best suppliers is now several books and growing..... we're all so so spoilt for choice, it can make decision making confusing, stressful, a stress you don't need or want.
I will help and guide you to keep you within your budget. I can also manage everything from your RSVP's, luxury transport, to dog chaperones, ti-pis, childcare, funky photo booths, fireworks, converted campers and horse box's that become a dedicated whiskey or cocktail bar, and so much more, nothing is too much trouble.
I will also help you to save money where I can, on occasions I can negotiate the best deals on your behalf, I can also guide on areas where you can save, in order to splurge on the areas that are most important to you.
I'm a freelance wedding planner, I do not work on a commission basis from any supplier or venues.
I work for my clients assisting couples to make their dream wedding into reality.
Every wedding should be as individual as the couple - don't ever be afraid to be you - show off both you as individuals, and as a couple - embrace the process - enjoy it - your day is all about you - make it what you want, celebrate your love in style.
As a couple you're always in control, I work for and with you, I am guided by you to make your dream wedding day happen as you imagined it would be. You have the final say so's in all decisions. I and any other good wedding planner will ever take over your day. I am there for you, I am on your team.
Shhhhhhh........ don't tell anyone, but your wedding, is my baby too! I am honored to be chosen and entrusted with assisting you in your day. I am passionate about what I do, I will always do my absolute best for my clients regardless of what level of service is required.
